Glenn Shorrock Receives Order Of Australia
Rise Glenn Shorrock AM. For those overseas every Australia Day and Queen’s Birthday, the Office of the Governor General who represents the Queen appoints people of outstanding achievements to the Order Of Australia. Before 1975 Australians received British honours and before 1986 Australia still knighted people and their name would be prefixed with ‘Sir’ or ‘Dame’.
Every Australia Day and Queen’s Birthday Australians are awarded an Order Of Australia Medal for notable achievements. In Glenn’s case an AM is added after his name which represents that he is a member of the Order of Australia. One of only four people awarded in 2020 the status of Honorary Member (AM) In The General Division Of The Order Of Australia.
